Privacy Policy

At Stet, we believe your words belong to you. Our architecture is built to ensure that your voice data remains under your control at all times.

1. Audio Data Processing

Local Processing: Stet captures audio only when you actively trigger the input through our key-down/up mechanism.

No Server Storage: We do not store, record, or "fine-tune" AI models on your raw audio data. Once transcription is complete, the audio is immediately discarded.

Direct API Mode: If you use your own API keys (OpenAI, Groq, etc.), your data is sent directly to those providers. Their respective privacy policies apply.

2. Data Collection

We may collect anonymized telemetry (e.g., app crashes, feature usage frequencies) to improve Stet. No identifiable text or audio is included in this telemetry. Payment info for Pay-as-you-go plans is handled by Stripe; Stet does not store your credit card details.

3. No Selling of Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or transcriptions to third parties. Our business model is based on software, not data harvesting.

4. Your Rights

You can opt-out of all telemetry at any time in the app settings. Since we don't store your personal data on our servers, there is no "account data" for us to delete on your behalf beyond payment history.
